fudge Fantastic song writing and musicianship, the track ‘The Last Time’ rocks and the chorus punches hard. ‘Final Hour’ is a sweet song with a soulful and expressive guitar solo. Steve can really shred and could have put face melters on every track, however I like the restraint shown. This album’s a real gem!

Miracle Mind 03:21
She came over to me with a smile upon her face I couldn’t believe my luck she was that girl I saw in my place I walked over the mountain top Saw a place I didn’t recognize Lived down the road in a stolen car Been sleeping in the back seat since I was five The storyboard said a voice was loud then I heard that voice come calling out, Reaching for a place to hide It must have been that the girl had seen that her world had changed, she was bared within Stuck there with no-one beside So glad you noticed me, you made me feel so alive.. ohhhh Next time that you hold me close, trust me with your miracle mind I held her hand as we moved, every step was harder than the last We clenched our fists as we gathered what we’d missed On our journey into the past But someone had been there before us, letting people out the door, must have been too late to undo Once and again we remember to lend all the stories that will never end, this one is already through
2.
So Long 03:06
You are a long way from home and you're not going back Heading on east on a one way track You said goodbye when I said over and out No-one was speaking because there was to many ways to shout I waited in line, I waited so long so long for you I waited in line, I wanted to say so long to you, to you Where in the midst of a generation fix And that should of stopped you avoiding me Plotting through pages, uncovered in stages, Lets read 'em out You cant resolve all our problems with anyone I had a lot of things to do, With no more time for loving you
3.
Living a Lie 03:14
I won’t see you again You gathered up your things, it’s over No more tanning on the beach, abusing the sun Now our lives forever undone When you were living a lie, It was much easier to say goodbye Forty-four was on the door and you went inside You had so much pleasure to provide Hiding all your emptiness while slowly taking off your dress Better keep an open mind Standing there in open view, Never hurting anyone but you In the Temple of my loneliness I was in a heartbroken mess
4.
Start Again 02:16
I moved out of here just 2 years ago I know, its so hard to believe it Now im livin' here with no chance of turning back I couldn’t leave her alone like that Its been a long way my may And im not giving it away not yet Let me stay Are you happy to be with a friend? Are you ready to love or pretend? Lets give it a shot As long as you and I can start again Every now and then I feel like I’ve lost my way There’s no use in denying I wake up at night recalling my shoes at the door If only it was like that before…
5.
Breakdown 03:23
Send to me, holy sound where I’m lying underground Contact me when you see, dying flowers over me Warm were the leaves, gathered under the trees Once disturbed by an early bird singing, Why, oh why? Brown were the eyes, stares could hypnotize Covered now by the soft grey dim held within, held within Give back to me your sympathy I know now what I have to do for you. Learn to breakdown, I will breakdown on my own I know its over, I know it’s over I’m holding you closer but we will never see you again (Comfort me my baby, I’m so sorry I need you to forgive me…)
6.
Mr Shadow 02:10
Hey you walkin behind me, just go your own way Please don’t crawl beside me, I got nothing to say Driving in my car to lose you, I'm goin real fast Looking in my mirror I see you right up my arse Try a little walk but my legs just wanna run Mr Shadow's got me scared, Got me wearin black shades in the sun Hey you Mr Shadow, don’t shoot me in the back back I could win the lotto, don’t put me outta wack You got my abc’s, you got my 1 2 3’s I can’t wait to see my shadow settin me free Each way you turn you're burning all of my friends It seems to me that you are in favour of celebrity trends You can be with me on the weekends and one night stands But if you push a little harder I’ll lose my American fans Try a little walk but my legs just wanna run Mr Shadow's got me scared, got me wearin black shades in the sun
7.
When you think the least of me I try to grow This time you’ll be true to me, how will I know? If you want the best of me, shed a tear When you seek the worst in me, I can hear Desperate lies, through Plasticine eyes Desperate lies, through Plasticine eyes Time does tell us things about desperate moves Year by year your face will grow, we can’t choose When you walk away from me it is clear Each word you spell out to me, fools appear Cant you see I’m always up in arms around you, you… Cant you feel me holding back too scared to face your stare Right before, you still refer to old Your breath so cold you must be breathing gold But now its time you tried to be more sincere When you sing along with me, I can hear, I can hear
8.
Pain always heals, you'll be fine You just have to leave it all behind Trying your best when you’re under the test through the night You can only hope you’re not alone Are you fading out right now? Are you breaking down for the last time? Answer the call, are you there? Vain will be lost with no repair Keeping you still, are you losing the thrill to survive? You must hope and pray you will revive Are you fading out right now? Are you breaking down for the last time? Are you fading out right now? Big deal, you can still get out with one chance Big deal, you’re not looking for a romance How does it feel when you aint feeling? Better remember that you need to forget. Never deny, that your saying your goodbye
9.
Nöel 02:58
All I really know is her name, she told me that it was Nöel. Im not sure if we can be friends At this stage it's hard to tell Especially when she’s got other plans Does she know that I don’t get angry? Does she know that I'm always nice, That I'm no stranger and I don’t hide? I feel like I already know her so well, Nöel, Nöel But she dont answer her phone Now that she is all alone I want to make her like me but how? Should I go over there right now? What happens if she looks the other way? (chorus) I’ve got no home and there is nowhere to go I’ve got my hands full and its starting to show I’m going the wrong way around again Tell me that life would not be better with me Give me a taste so I can help you to see That its alright if they find out
10.
Final Hour 04:05
You lost what you had. You let it all fall apart What you needed was another weekend You would have worked it all out by the end of your final hour Then you told us that you’re leaving And nobody’s learning goodbye You said it was easy to stay a bit longer Now you’ve got a long drive home in the rain and your not coming back It’s your final hour Are you ready for me? You’ve got nothing I want, Because I see what you see Its your final hour Don’t look left, just walk right Leave your dreams by the phone And soon you will be alright Believe me before it’s over, you’ll wish it never began Hide the feelings to hide the meanings Life is a long fight for fame to the end That we're not meant to win
11.
So much time has been lost trying to heal the pain You stayed there and I stayed here in the rain You threw everything you ever wanted away, That’s okay But now its time to clean up your act and repay Lost in a place that will hold you down You better pick up all the pieces, All over Again, all over again All over Again, all over again Healing wounds is always easier the first time around The same malfunctions and destructions make your head hit the ground Every time you lose yourself, get ready to fall The only friend you find turns out to be no friend at all You’re lost in a place that will hold you down You better pick up all the pieces, I will not take the blame, for you to empathise I will feel no shame due to your endless tries I will not take the blame, for you to terrorise

She Was Mine 02:57
Fading so I look for conversation, Learning that there’s more to think than what to say I think I'll go and take a seat with my remains I’m riding on a lonely plane She is there and I am here, was meant to be Leaning forward looking backward hard to see What a painful way to spend my holiday Breaking glasses and the pictures in my way She was mine, but she moved on, she moved on She was mine, but she moved on, she moved on When I finally came outside, I gazed around Looked both ways and accidentally came to see Jesters dancing and romancing all the way I’m riding on a lonely plane How many ways can I joke around? She was moving by and I was crying aloud How many times was I sure about it? How many times did I try?

about

So Long is a collection of songs that Stephen wrote between 2004 and 2008.
Recorded with his small home studio setup, he wrote and recorded all the instruments and vocals. Originally using only midi (electronic) drum parts for all the songs, he decided he needed a killer drummer to do the real thing. So Robert Callea stepped in and with the help of Joel Tipping, the album now had a more authentic sound and a new mix to be finally ready for release!
